Workshop Updates

St Pauls Workshop Summary Week 1

This Sunday at Temple Bar London, the students drew St. Paul's Cathedral. They followed an online tutorial to draw along with it during the workshop. It was definitely challenging with lots of details and the student did an amazing job. They learnt how to simplify complex structures and draw along with a tutorial.

NBHP Workshop Summary Week 1

In the workshop the children had the opportunity to learn about Sir Christopher Wren and also explore the amazing variety of church buildings around the world. During the workshop all the children were very engaging and showed great interest in the videos that were presented. They all contributed well to what they found interesting. When it came to the task, they all did well in the step by step online tutorial and produced some nice drawings. It aimed to develop a good understanding of past historic architecture and a creative way to draw.

St Pauls 1 Workshop Summary Week 2

This week the students drew Notre Dame Cathedral and learnt various aspects of churches like proportions, historical background, materials and restorations. The students learnt about importance of churches, its architectural styles and how to draw church and proportions

St Pauls 2 Workshop Summary Week 2

The workshop at Temple Bar had helped students improve their drawing skills using tutorials. They learned to draw with a focus on proportions and symmetry. The workshop also delved into the historical background of Notre Dame Cathedral, offering insights into its cultural and architectural significance. Students excelled in developing drawing skills, mastering concepts like proportions and symmetry. The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, showcasing enthusiasm and active participation. The inclusion of Notre Dame Cathedral's historical background and Sir Christopher Wren's inspirations provided a broader context, fostering a deeper appreciation for art. Witnessing the students' progress and their evident joy during the workshop was personally rewarding, contributing to a positive and enriching experience for all.

NBHP Workshop Summary Week 2

In the workshop the children explored more on Sir Christopher Wren's inspirations and also got to draw Notre Dame. The children engaged well throughout the workshop and made great contributions on understanding the architecture used during that time. When it came to the task, the children did a great job in following the step by step online tutorial. Overall, the children did an amazing job. It aimed to develop a good understating of how people can become inspired and also how drawing techniques can be used effectively.

St Pauls 1 Workshop Summary Week 3

This week at Temple Bar London, the students drew St. Peter's Basilica. They learnt about this largest church along with its drawing challenges like reference lines, proportion and symmetry. The students developed the skills of drawing elevations of churches like St. Peter's Basilica. They discovered various drawing techniques like adding shadows, reference lines, and background to improve the quality of the drawing.

St Pauls 2 Workshop Summary Week 3

Embark on the artistic journey with us as we recount the recent workshop at Temple Bar, London, where students, under the guidance of @archimakeorg, brought the magnificence of St. Peter's Basilica to life! Our primary focus was to refine their drawing skills, with an emphasis on mastering intricate elements such as reference lines and symmetry. The results? Simply impressive! The workshop wasn't just about honing technical skills; it was an immersive and enjoyable experience for our students. The room buzzed with excitement, underscoring the idea that learning can be both educational and fun. Beyond the mastery of drawing challenges, our aim was to install in the students a profound appreciation for the beauty of St. Peter's Basilica.

St Pauls 3 Workshop Summary Week 4

This Sunday at Temple Bar London, the students drew orthographic drawings of Notre Dame Cathedral and St. Paul's Cathedral. They learnt about orthographic drawing techniques and took challenges like reference lines, and proportion. They all tried their best and did an amazing job within a short time frame.

NBHP Workshop Summary Week 3

It was great seeing Archimakers follow seemingly simple instructions to draw the complex St. Peter's facade. They themselves were more interested as the instructions progressed seeing the full picture come together.

St Pauls 1 Workshop Summary Week 5

This week at Temple Bar London, Archimakers made models of Notre Dame Cathedral and St. Paul's Cathedral. They paired up in groups and made amazing models using recycled materials like cardboard.

NBHP Workshop Summary Week 4

Archimakers being able to complete all four orthographic drawings was quite the achievement on the students' part, especially in the given time and considering the complexity of the drawings.

St Pauls 2 Workshop Summary Week 6

This Sunday at Temple Bar London, Archimakers proposed their preferred community as a temporary restoration of Notre Dame Cathedral or St. Paul's Cathedral. The brief included a retrofit design for an imaginary scenario of these partially destroyed structures due to a natural disaster.

Our Latest Designs of a flood resistant house that also makes good use of water recycling.

Paying Homage to Vivienne Westwood, we looked at combining traditional and modern materials or design styles to design a house that sits beside the Regents Canal at Kings Cross.
