Conor, (Yr 6)
What do you like about Archimake workshops and what would you suggest to other children who like making things?
"I have always liked building Lego and other construction toys and I am also interested in drawing and finding out how things work. I like art and looking at buildings.
I enjoy the teaching and the presentations, which are always about subjects that we don’t often learn about at school. I have also done the sketching workshops when we go outside and look at buildings around London and
draw them. The teachers are very good at telling us how to look at the
building and help us to draw them well. It has been very satisfying to do a
project from start to finish.
Sometimes things don’t work out how you want them to, especially when you are making models. But sometimes things go wrong before you get them right, and the teachers are very good at advising you how to solve problems.
If you’re not very good at art or drawing, this class is a very good way to improve, as it teaches you how to look at things and develop skills."
