Max Fordham House – Bere:Architects

Archimakers were inspired by the energy efficient house designed for Max Fordham by Bere Architects. Max Fordham is a world famous environmental engineer whose company helps architects to create environmental projects of all scales. Justin Bere is the architect who designed this house which has a well selected palette of environmental materials, such as cork and timber.

Archimakers were fortunate to have a special presentation of the building by both Justin and Max around his dining table and were shown the 'box of tricks' which provides clean air without opening the windows and heat without using fossil fuels. Archimakers really liked the trees on the roof which they had never seen on a building before!
